[GRASS-user] Help on worldfile info or g.region

Hello,

I'm a bit confused at the moment, but I thought that
-the grass region defines the outer edge of a region
-as well as the worldfile for a graphic does

Am I wrong? I've imported a graphic with the following worldfile:
2
0
0
-2
4280000
5610000

but g.region on that file gives:
north:      5610001
south:      5606001
west:       4279999
east:       4283999
nsres:      2
ewres:      2
rows:       2000
cols:       2000
cells:      4000000

so what did I do wrong? Is g.region defining the cell center or does 
this the worldfile.
