[GRASS-user] Hardware acceleration on Xmon

Dear All,
Is there any way to speed up the drawing of rasters on the X monitor 
(other than setting coarse resolutions)? The monitor doesn't seem to be 
able to use hardware acceleration,  are there any compile options that 
would enable NVIDIA support for the x-monitor?
