Hello Grass Users,

I had installed grass-6.0.0 successfully on Mandrake 10.0 with
no errors in any modules during compilation.
I have now installed Mandriva 2006 linux OS on my computer.
When i tried to install grass-6.0.0 on Mandriva 2006, it gets installed
but when i run grass60
 I get following error message:

Error in startup script: couldn't execute "ps.map": no such file or
directory
while executing
"exec ps.map -p"
    (procedure "DmPrint::init" line 14)
    invoked from within
"DmPrint::init"
    (procedure "main" line 32)
    invoked from within
"main $argc $argv"
    (file "/home/bnagesh/grass-6.0.0/etc/dm/d.m.tcl" line 894)

So then i tried to manually compile ps.map, it gave the following error

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgrass_I

Later i discovered that in the ~/grass-6.0.0/lib/ the following files
and links are not created.
libgrass_Iortho.6.0.0.so*
libgrass_Iortho.so -> libgrass_Iortho.6.0.0.so
libgrass_I.6.0.0.so*
libgrass_I.so -> libgrass_I.6.0.0.so*

Why does this occur?
Does grass-6.0.0 work well on mandriva 2006?

Later i installed grass-6.0.1 and there was no problem in its
installation on Mandriva 2006.

Kindly reply with suggestions and solutions.
