hello everybody,
i am currently trying to install grass on FC5.
I followed a sequence of steps. After which on starting grass i gets "wish not behaving as it should be". I have installed tcl8.4.13 sinc tcl8.4.11 have some issues in its configure file. i sortedout a few but one i couldn't. Also wish as exe i couldn;t find on my machine so i assume problem lie smwhere here only.

here are sequence of steps
1.Proj4.2.9 from source
2.geos-2.2.1-4.fc5.i386.rpm
3.HDF4.2r1 from source after making some modifications in configure
in FC5 fortran compiler is gfortran not g77.
4.hdf5-1.6.5
5.PostgreSQL was already installed
6.fftw-3.1.2 from soure
7. While installing from tcl-8.4.11 gave error while configuring, did tcl8.4.13 well.
i went to unix folder , did conf make makeinstall. i tired failure for 5 tests one of them was opening closing socket . other i donot remember. If needed i will do that again.
8. tk8.4.13 from source
9 fftw-3.1.2
10. R.2.3.1
11. MesaLib-6.4.2
12.while building gdal1.3.1 from source it gave errors in source , i tried gdal1.3.2 ,went well.
13. grass6.0.2 from source , some errors reported in one r.terrainmodule so i skipped. Here i tried to run grass , it gave me error 'wish ' not working as it ought to be.

since i installed gdal1.3.2 i couldn't find the gdal-grass rpm.
i hadn't followed installing QGIS 0.8 since i find in mail-archieve that gdal-grass plugin rpm is requied for QGIS to recognise grass raster format.

if anyone has alredy done that, please give me the list or correct my sequene. I am strugglig here for 2 days
