Hi,

I have written a new page "Image processing in GRASS GIS"
within the GRASS built-in manual, file

 imagery/imageryintro.html

 via web
 http://grass.itc.it/grass61/manuals/html61_user/imageryintro.html

I would encourage users to send text pieces (preferably CVS diffs,
see ./SUBMITTING (section 25) in the source code how to do that) and
native speakers to improve the language.

It makes part of the overview pages:
    * Introductions
          o 2D raster map processing
          o 3D raster map (voxel) processing
          o Image processing
          o Vector map processing and network analysis

('g.manual -i' or online at
  http://grass.itc.it/grass61/manuals/html61_user/
)

I would like to see two more pages there:
- models in GRASS (topmodel, simwe, ...)
- intro to GRASS programming (scripts, C, SWIG, ...)

Any volunteers? For a collaborative writing approach,
the Wiki is best.

My overall intention is to get GRASS also documented in
its own manual system, at least at overview level.
These introduction pages are a sort of navigator pages
to (new) users to find their way.

Markus
