[GRASS-user] gis.m: file ppm not found

Since this works with Spearfish but not with some other locations, my first
suspect would be a permissions problem.

To do the graphic display, the GUI needs to send d.* output to *.ppm files
in .../$MAPSET/tmp/[userpid] -- whatever is specified by g.tempfile.

If there are permission problems, this would not work.

Another potential problem might be with the GRASS environmental variables
that set the output to a PPM file rather than an xdisplay.
