Hi Roscao.

Did you use Jachym's debs? Or did you install from Ubuntu repositories?

Just try to set the computational region using one of your datasets (I
suppose you already have something inside) with:

>g.region rast=SOMERASTER

or

>g.region vect=SOMEVECT

If I did not understand your problem correctly and you can't even get
into the GRASS shell why don't you try to create a LOCATION using (for
example) an already georeferenced file and try to start.
