I've looked at the list of v. modules without seeing one that will convert a map of filled polygons (e.g., soil mapping units, counties) into unfilled polygons. As long as the centroid remains (which I assume is independent of whether the areas are filled) empty areas allow other maps to be seen at the same time. Pointer please. Rich
