[GRASS-user] Krige surfaces in grass 6.4

Markus.  I do have R installed and it works. I also installed R2py and I thought it worked
as it did not report errors.
But r2py is a strange package. Many of the test programs in the package fail and the
website says 3 of them will fail, but not which 3! I can only assume the installation is
faulty and the r2py website lacks information to resolve the problem. Even their demo
program code on their website is broken. But after repairing the syntax faults, I am
having object access issues with their demo and I think r2py has failed to build properly.

despite having R and r2py (albeit perhaps broken) installed, grass gives me this error
about gstat requirements when I run v.krige.py

GRASS 6.4.0RC5 > v.krige.py
Warning message:
In library(package, lib.loc = lib.loc, character.only = TRUE, logical.return = TRUE,  :
  there is no package called 'gstat'
R package gstat is missing. Install it and re-run v.krige.

But as commented to Hamish, there are library problems which prevent me from building
gstat with grass library support or building it as a library, even without grass support.

... that is interesting - but i cannot even get a clean build of wxPython from the current
tarball. That problem is not with grass - possibly my gcc version!
