We have compiled the grass5.0.0pre3 version on irix 6.3 <br>
--without postgres, obdc, fftw<br>

grass starts ok with tcltk environment but after selecting the location
and mapset it sends error messages in the shell window related to
the libz. We have installed different versions of <br>

/usr/lib32/libz.so <br>
/usr/lib/libz.so<br>
that are symbolic links pointing to libiflPNG.so<br>
there is also another libz in /usr/freeware/lib/libz.so<br>
<br>
do you know which libz should we use?<br>
