Yes, I've done more than once this steps:

make distclean</li>
<li>
./configure --with-blas --with-lapack .....etc. etc..</li>
<li>
make</li>
<li>
make install</li>
</ul>

I've read somewhere that there are some problem in interfacing fortran
with C...
