<html><div DEFANGED_STYLE='background-color:'><P>dear grasslisters,<BR><BR>I am trying to run a texture analysis using r.texture on one layer of a raster map (I am interested in the green band) and I can't get it to work ... I asked a similar question several weeks ago, and someone kindly suggested to use i.group and i.composite to clump the bands together before using them. This actually works well when using r.texture on a group composed of the three RGB layers of an i;ported TIFF, but not if I make i.composite to create a raster made of the green band (it is actually an option in i.composite: "To get a grey scale image, specify rgb for a single file"). In both cases (using the green band alone as "example.TIF.g" , or using a composite or # times this file) I get a blank screen when eximing the results of r.texture with d.rast.</P>So my question is: is it possible to examine a single band with r.texture, and if yes, how ?<BR>thank you in advance, and thanks also for all t!
