<DIV>1. The LIVE STAR CD, (GRASS5.7& and QGIS) needs Mandrake .. and still has trouble loading on the hard disc as shown on its very optimistic web-page, But even a floppy cannot be used with it making the user a prisoner in the CD itself.. </DIV>

<DIV>Iam now trying my best to get the Mandrake -3- cds to try install STAR CD in it. The Bankok seminar has helped with its very useful web-site.. And the nice cooperation from Thailand, Univ is keeping newbees like me optimistic. </DIV>

<DIV>2. PCQLINUX2004 is another safe LINUX bet for newbees like me.</DIV>
<DIV>But alas except the GRASS Vector module I have problems. Using and Installin Gdal, Nviz and SQL database. Pl help.</DIV>
