the fedora core 4 RPM does not have the proj_api.h file, or at least doesnt install it on the system.<br>

PROJ.4. Maybe your operating system has PROJ.4<br>split into separate development and runtime packages? You would need the<br>development package installed to compile GRASS. Just a guess. Someone else<br>on the list could probably tell you a command to run to find out the package
