<div>Thanks Moritz</div>
<div> </div>
<div>I have installed postgresql on my D: ( NTFS one).</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Now I have one more problem. I searched it over mailing list archives. It is quite similar to the one at:</div>
<div> </div>
<div><a href="http://www.nabble.com/grass-not-starting-tf2417646.html#a6739510">http://www.nabble.com/grass-not-starting-tf2417646.html#a6739510</a></div>
<div> </div>
<div>The only problem is that I couldn't get any workable solution. I am working on spearfish data. I would love if any one could guide me to any tutorial on the same.</div>

<br><br>You actually don't need postgresql to use GRASS, but the current windows<br>binary was compiled against grass, so unfortunately you need the pg.dll<br>to run any module. Even if you were not able to create a postgresql data
<br>directory during installation, you should still be able to run GRASS<br>without any problems. Have you tried ?<br><br>The issue of the PostgreSQL dependency in wingrass was discussed here:<br><br><a href="http://grass.itc.it/pipermail/grassuser/2006-September/036381.html">
