<div>I wish to create a ellipsoid around a point , the semi major and semi minor axis dist are known, which means the coordinates of the bounding rectangle can be calculated easily.</div>
<div>Can I create a csv or a text file to generate a shape file from it using some program like gen2shp.</div>
<div>What should be the format of the text file ?</div>
<div>is there any other way to do it in grass or quantum gis?</div>
