I am somewhat indifferent to whether synchronized display of
multiple maps would be a general feature of map display or part of
the swipe tool. I can imagine that it would be easier to make it
initially part of a separate tool, but I am no developer so I
could be completely wrong.<br>

I'm not sure that this should be part of the swipe tool. I'd
rather see this as a general feature of Map Displays, i.e. the
option to linked any number of Map Displays so that when you pan /
zoom in one the other(s) adjust automagically. Then again, I'm
only the one asking, not doing ... ;-)
