[winGRASS] converting lines to polygons?

you wrote polygons not polylines

I did that once with the v.type command:
e.g.  v.type input=name output=name type=line,boundary

than I exported a shp file:
v.out.ogr in=name  dsn=./ olayer=name  format=ESRI_Shapefile type=area
