<P><BR>I am doing a research in uni to evaluate some GIS softwares, and also try qualitative way to represent features instead of giving the exact coordinates x and y as user may not know the coordinates of a point and it's hard to be exact..may have many decimal places behind etc. Example instead of giving x=101.2432, y=245.432434 to find a location on a map, i will give "Left PostOffice, Postal code 2010". It will return me a result or go to the position on the left of Postoffice in Postal code area 2010 on a map. Can it be done in Grass software? Been trying on ArcGIS too. I wish to get some advise from ya for this, how to do tat, which code to look into. I wish to work on Grass software and help in the development too, since my research area is on this area. I am very impressed by the quick responds in the Grass site whenever i have a problem with the software. Hope i can help. Hope to hear fr ya soon.</P>
