<P>I am new to GRASS & have 2 questions. I am wondering which version to install, 6.0 or 6.1? Is 6.1 stable? I installed 6.1 previously but had problems loading a shapefile. The program behaved in a "buggy" manner. So I thought I would try 6.0. After unsinstalling 6.1 I tried to download to install 6.0. However I get the following message after step 4 "can't open /grass/setup.bz2". <BR>Also "can't open /grass/setup.ini". Is everything still functional at <BR><A href="http://geni.ath.cx/grass.html">http://geni.ath.cx/grass.html</A> ? Any help would be much appreciated. </P>
<P>BTW - the problem I had with loading my shapefiles was the following: It told me that no projection was specified. The shp file displays fine in QGIS & ArcMap. It told me to type 'list' for available projections. When I did this nothing happened. Thus I call it "buggy". Did I miss something obvious? Much thanks. Cheers. </P>
