[I3geo] Criando Toponímia (Labels) a partir do MapFile

Prezados colaboradores da comunidade I3geo,

Gostaria de saber se seria possível inserir labels ou toponímias através 
do mapfile com base no exemplo abaixo tirado da seguinte fonte( 
http://mapserver.org/tutorial/example1-5-map.html):

    LABELITEM    "STATE"
    # Just like CLASSITEM, LABELITEM defines the database attribute that 
you
