thanks for the valuable hints! Actually, already earlier we have
established the Incubator Application Questionnaire for provision to
IncCom, today I have updated it. On request, we can either publish it
on a dedicated section of the project website, to the list, etc.<br>

Assuming that IncCom is good with Ari being mentor, your first step is to get on the agenda of an incubation meeting and have Ari motion that rasdaman be accepted into incubation. If this passes IncCom then it gets put on the next OSGeo board meeting to be ratified.
In order for IncCom members to make a reasonable decision, they will need to be convinced of the suitability of the project. IncCom is also looking for projects that they expect to graduate from incubation, so check the incubation graduation criteria at <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.osgeo.org/incubator/process/project_graduation_checklist.html">http://www.osgeo.org/incubator/process/project_graduation_checklist.html</a> for any potential issues.
You should both go through the links at the bottom of <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.osgeo.org/incubator">http://www.osgeo.org/incubator</a> as well to ensure you are familiar with the expectations of a project entering incubation and what will need to be done for graduation.

I think Peter did what could be done by appealing again for a mentor.
There isn't really much we can do to formally start incubation without
a mentor volunteer. If there is a volunteer who is not currently a
member of the incubation committee, but who has had enough involvement
with
it and open source projects in the past to be a useful resource for the
incubation then we could certainly consider them as a mentor.

I'm interested in mentoring an incubation and this might be a good
project to get involved. It would be my first mentoring, so I need some
time to get started. Also, right now I'm very busy until May so the
start would be slow for that reason too.
I must say that I have only a superficial knowledge of rasdaman as of
now and I am also not involved in the project any way - which should
also make me quite impartial.
I'm not officially a member of the incubation committee, but I could
apply for that at the same time.
