I do agree that the principles of the "Open" section are good,

Thank you Cameron. And to address your question in the doc I have
added a ref to <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bus_factor">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bus_factor</a> to clarify
what is meant by "bus number" a.k.a. "bus factor"
<br>
<br>
Essentially the "bus number" of a project is the number of
devs/contributors who need to be hit by a bus before the project
gets into deep trouble. The higher this number the better for the
project.

Daniel,<br>
Yes, good to mention the bus factor. I've expanded on this a little,
in order to give a bit of content:<br>
<br>
Long term viability of the project is demonstrated by showing
participation and direction from multiple developers, who come from
multiple organisations. <br>
<i> Eg. The project is resiliant enough to sustain loss of a
developer or supporting organisation, often refered to as having a
high <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bus_factor"
class="external text" rel="nofollow">bus factor</a>; Decisions
are made openly instead of behind closed doors, which empowers all
developers to take ownership of the project and facilitates
spreading of knowledge between current and future team members.</i><br>
