Bruce</div><div><br></div><div>Processing of radar imagery is important for a wide range of meteorological and other domain use cases.</div><div><br></div><div>However, I question the rationale behind this approach.</div><div><br></div><div>This type of analytical process is not trivial. Rather than re-invent the wheel here it may be better to extend libraries that specialise in spatial and image analysis. </div><div><br></div><div>The project is doing this already with GDAL.</div><div><br></div><div>A good example analytical framework that may be a sound base would be Grass. They already have algorithms for processing radar imagery e.g. [1].
