<p>sorry for the late reply. I miss this email before FOSS4G and did
not find time to make a report to the list before the conference
regarding the incubation status of the <a
href="https://www.orfeo-toolbox.org/">ORFEO ToolBox</a> (OTB).<br>
</p>
<p>I made a presentation during FOSS4G about the creation of the OTB
Steering Committee done in the frame of the OSGeo incubation in
2015. The presentation gives also some general information about
our incubation status :</p>

OTB incubation is quite calm for some months indeed but but it's
because we're currently in the process to consider moving from
CECILL (gpl like) to an Apache license. <br>

It is a long process initiate in the beginning of 2015:<br>

We're focusing now to validate and complete this migration (check
compatibility with third party, contact contributors...). Not an
easy task but we're not far from it now. That's why I've "paused" a
little bit the incubation procedure as the license migration will
cover also remaining steps of the OTB incubation check list (I think
that we're only missing the creation of CLA mechanism for OTB

While I can go over what we have done this year I would like to invite project reps and mentors to provide a status update (please reply to this email thread).
Ian Turton if you are willing to mentor, please review the SLD Editor proposal and make a motion on this email list.
