Now Hiring: Outercurve Community Evangelist

• Build the Outercurve culture

    - Provide an active presence across projects and share best practices.

• Engage and support the community

     - Conduct regular calls with project leaders, track outstanding
issues, and assist with resolution.

• Celebrate success

    - Identify and implement motivational programs that recognize
contributions and important milestones. Generate podcasts and blog
posts that communicate these successes.

• Bridge community to staff

    - Provide management team with regular reports on status of
projects and key services, set up quarterly events (F2F or virtually)
to increase interaction between contributors and staff.

• Identify and oversee implementation of new services

    - Via input from project leaders and committers, identify programs
and services that can be rolled out across projects.  Work with staff
to implement and track success and utilization of services.

• Enhance our brand awareness

    - Attend project meetups and conferences help build a group of
brand ambassadors.

• Identify interesting projects

    - Working with Gallery Managers, follow like-minded communities
that may have complementary projects.

Ideal Candidate's Attributes

• Loves Open Source Software

• Could be an active developer, and must enjoy talking to OSS developers

• Technology savvy

• Loves to engage via social media, in particular: Twitter, g+,
LinkedIn, Facebook

• Polite

• Inquisitive

• Creative

• Virtual worker

• Travel not a problem

• Resides in North America

 • Minimum 6 years experience, bachelors degree
