front-ends using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, jquery, related
tools, and other technologies as our stack evolves. Create tools for
visualization and geospatial analysis of GIS data. Research and develop
efficient, secure, and maintainable back-ends for the deposit, curation,
dissemination, and analysis of social science, GIS, and spatial data
using Java in the Spring framework, Spring Boot, and related modules.
This will include interfacing with relational databases, triplestores
(fedora/fuseki), search engines such as elasticSearch or solr,
GeoServer, GeoTools, spatial databases (PostGIS), and other technologies
as our stack evolves. Research and analyze technological
infrastructure, proposing and implementing changes to improve usability,
security, and performance. Take the lead on designing and directing the
implementation of all research projects involving GIS and spatial data
infrastructure. Work with team using Agile methodologies. Write
documentation, work with product owners to understanding requirements
and provide estimations of work, provide training to the team about
architectural concepts, and provide training to internal and external
users about the organization’s products. Assist with research grant
proposals for external funding, particularly for those with GIS and
spatial data requirements.</div><div><br></div><div><a href="https://www.monster.com/jobs/search?q=geotools">https://www.monster.com/jobs/search?q=geotools</a></div><br>-- <br><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature">Ian Turton<br></div></div>
