<div>We have started converting all Landsat MTL text files into json. Jeff Layton, an AWS solutions architect, wrote a script to convert the text files, and we have run them on all files in s3://landsat-pds. We run the script on new MTL files about every four


 hours. </div>

<div>We are currently researching using AWS Lambda to convert MTL files immediately as they're added to the bucket. </div>
