I am sorry to inform you that our proposal was unsuccessful.

I forward their email so you can form your own opinion. They don't say  
why  the proposal was rejected.

I think that we have done a good job and tried to promote our thoughts  
as best as we could.
Let's not get disappointed. We have to continue with our efforts  
because the project worth it.
