[Liblas-devel] Where to find the liblas.a files?

Hi all!

Sorry for this maybe totally beginner question, but I downloaded and
installed the liblas1.6.1 on my linux64bit system, just standard without any
other enhancing libraries and it compiled and installed fine so far.
I can use the lasinfo perfectly.

I was trying to do the simple c++ reader example and compile with gcc, but
my linker is missing the liblas.a to link to. I checked and during
installation only the binary tools and the dynamic liblas.so file were
created...

Since I read in the compile.txt that there should also be the arch file, I
was wondering what I was doing wrong. Is there a flag or something to
configure?

After the make and make install it created a 'bin/' directory and inside a
'RelWithDebInfo/' but no .a files are contained there.

Thanks in advance.

Best,
   Marcel
