Hey Dane!

So far nothing else is using port 8000. And since you are the first,
port 8000 should be all yours (or Mapnik's).

Btw, I actually put your script in the svn... I hope you don't mind.
Sorry, if that's a problem with you, I should have asked first.

Before I committed it, I commented out the part where it starts the
server. Generally, in these cases a good option would be to create a
desktop icon, that starts the server and maybe also starts FF with the
demo page open. For example, the udig or openjump scripts put an icon on
the desktop, if you want to see an example.
