[Live-demo] Will gdal 1.9 break your application on osgeolive?

Hello,

at the moment GDAL gdal is installed from the Ubuntu
repository in Version 1.8.0. The actual GDAL Version
is 1.9.0 [1]. So we could go for a newer version.

As GDAL is used by many
other applications I do not know whether we get conflicts when we change
the version to 1.9.0.

What do you think?
