Hi Markus,
As can be seen in [1], our feature freeze for OSgeoLive 7.0 is 15 July 2013.
I think there is plenty of time.
We would definitely benefit from Ubuntu packages! Actually we would like
to reach a point where every application has a deb to install from :)
