 Please note that there is a {{{matplotlib v1.2}}} installable via package
 from {{{ppa:drescampbell/ppa}}}. Using that PPA on a base 12.04.3 plus
 gisvm setup.sh, shows the following packages to-be-installed (see
 screenshot)
