May I ask what objectives we should aim for in terms of
"open development" to ensure we meet the requirements in

<div class="gmail_extra">By "open development" I just wanted to
emphasize that by source code public repository I (and I
suppose most people) mean a central place around the
development happens rather than merely a place where one can
get the source code. OSGeo incubation is a good way to achieve

+1 Working toward OSGeo Incubation covers the key OSGeo-Live
requirements (including public source code).<br>
<br>
With regards to including GPlates on OSGeo-Live for 9.5. One thing
that other projects have done in the past is take a couple of
releases to get included.<br>
<br>
For the first time, the installer is included (but not executed), or
included and executed (such that the application is installed), but
not made publicly visible till a future release.<br>
This gives GPlates the opportunity to try out the install process,
without a strict deadline to get things running.<br>
<br>
This might be a path for GPlates to consider?<br>
<br>
Warm regards,<br>
