Hi Sean,<br>
Has joining OSGeo-Live been discussed with the THREDDS community in
your team meeting?<br>
What were the outcome of conversations?<br>
If you would like to join the next release, we should get things
moving.<br>

Ethan,<br>
The next step in including THREDDS to OSGeo-Live is to officially
apply, as per:<br>

If you wish to join our next release then please send us an email
in the next week officially asking to apply.<br>

support using Docker to install software? I know it's not

THREDDS Data Server pretty painless, and is what we have

It is an excellent outreach and marketing tool for Open

conferences, used by educators in virtual machines in
workshops and training programs, and of course from our
website.<br>

We are right now kicking off the process for our next
release (see bottom of this email thread). The process
for on boarding new projects is described here:<br>

you do), please start by emailing an application to our
email list (as explained in link above).<br>

<div>Thank you for considering the addition of
the THREDDS project in OSGeo-Live. First and
most importantly, I want to assure you that
the THREDDS project has not stalled and is
indeed still active. Our latest release for
both netCDF-Java and the THREDDS Data Server
is version 4.6.3, and was released on 31
August 2015.</div>

<div>We are approaching our next release, and
hope to have it out by the end of the year
(v4.6.4). Note that most of our active
development has been on v5.0, which includes a
major rewrite and extension to the way gridded
datasets are handled in general. This release
will also included the latest version of ncWMS
(a.k.a. edal-java). We hope to have a beta
available sometime in December.</div>

</div>
<div>While the original lead developer, John
Caron, is no longer with Unidata, the THREDDS
team is quite strong, and Unidata has doubled
down on its commitment to the THREDDS stack -
no worries of this project becoming
abandonware.</div>
