<p>A possibly related issue I've run into is Lubuntu freezing within
a VirtualBox Virtual Machine, running on an Apple Mac. The
freezing seems to only happen a few minutes after running gvim.</p>
<p>(This is an issue with Lubuntu without OSGeo-Live, and I've
needed to install the gvim package).<br>

The underlying issue is an issue with the driver for the
intel graphics card used by the workshop laptops, and a
fairly common one.<br>
A new package of the intel graphics driver has been released
