proj4 will not be removed from OSGeo-Live, since it is a
dependency of many other projects, but it will not be included in
the documentation pages, unless we get an update. The deadline for
the final documentation is July 3rd (not the same as for beta1,
which is June 21st), so there is some more time.<br>
The pages you propose to use look good to me. <br>
You do not need to worry about the translations yet, there is
another deadline for those (few days before the release, ~July
20).<br>

previous 10.5 version is ok), and updated the quickstart where needed.
We understand that version 4.9.2 of proj4 will be installed on OSGeo-Live
11.0 (Version 4.9.2 was installed on OSGeo-Live 10.5.)

Regarding what is listed currently in metacrs :
- proj4js: no opinion
- cs-map: no-opinion
- geotiff/libgeotiff: heavily used underneath by GDAL in particular,
mostly in maintaince mode, but can be treated as a technical dependency
that doesn't require to be visible from users.
- proj4j: no opinion
- spatialreference.org: not maintained in years. <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://epsg.io/">http://epsg.io/</a> would
be a possible replacement
Agreed that metacrs is probably a bit too ... meta for folks exploring
OSGeo-Live content, so it could make sense exposing proj.4 as a standalone
project.
