Hallo,

die Version 5.0 der OSGeo Live GIS Software Kollektion wurde
veröffentlicht. Sie beinhaltet 47 GeoSpatial Open Source Anwendungen.

Die DVD wird derzeit auf der FOSS4G Konferenz in Denver verteilt.

OSGeo-Live 5.0 ist eine getrennt bootfähige DVD, ein USB-Stick oder eine
virtuelle Maschine basierend auf Xubuntu, die Ihnen ermöglicht, eine
Vielzahl von Open Source GIS Software auszuprobieren, ohne etwas
installieren zu müssen.

OSGeo-Live 5.0 enthält vorkonfigurierte Anwendungen für ein breites
Spektrum an Anwendungsfällen aus dem GIS-Bereich. Außerdem enthält sie
Beispieldatensätze und Dokumentationen.

Die Version 5.0 enthält eine erweiterte Dokumentation in deutscher
Sprache. Die Projektübersichten und Beschreibungen der Standards liegen
weitgehend auf Deutsch vor. Außerdem wurden diverse Quickstart-Dokumente
übersetzt.

Version 5.0 of the OSGeo-Live GIS software collection
<http://live.osgeo.org> has been released.

OSGeo-Live is a self-contained bootable DVD, USB flash drive and Virtual
Machine based upon Ubuntu Linux that is pre-configured with a wide
variety of robust open source geospatial software.

The applications can be trialled without installing anything on your
computer, simply by booting the computer from the DVD or USB drive.

A DVD or USB of OSGeo-Live is being distributed to every delegate at the
upcoming international conference for Free and Open Source Software,
