I'd like to get familiar with WFS-G to know about their gazetteer model (which is actually a protocol) as well as the advantages and limitations (performance?) of their approach. However, any other approach I can learn from is more than welcome. If you happen to know of disappointing experiences with the WFS-G in other institutes/agencies, I'd appreciate you point me to them.</div>

replaces the original old modules with Solr powered searches, or WFS, or<br>
whatever else you have. It becomes a lot more flexible.<br>
