as you know Mapbender (2.x and 3) is dual licensed under GNU GPL and simplified BSD license. So i would like to simplify the Mapbender3 licensing and suggest to publish Mapbender3 exclusively under the MIT license [1].<br>

We checked the licensing of the different modules and software we use for Mapbender3 and found only MIT compatible licenses. You will find list of the components and their licenses at the end of the email. I also added some links to the different licenses.<br>
<br>
So i start a motion to change the license of Mapbender3 to MIT license alone and ask the steering committee to vote until 25.07.2014.<br>

I therefore opt with +1 for the aforementioned proposal.<br>
