[mapguide-internals] Updates

Sounds good to me. Obviously I would be willing to try the new dll's prior
to official posting. Would the ECW and MrSID "plugins" still be separate
from this and made available only on the GDAL web site?

I'm planning this...
1) Post new GDAL FDO dlls (when I get them), and instructions on how to
install them. Everyone will need to overwrite the old DLLs with the new
ones. I will ask some of you to try them out before we officially post
them.
2) Create a wiki entry on how to author Raster layers using the new
provider.

For the problem with the extents/previews not showing in the layer editor,
this won't be addressed in any immediate timeframe. Another solution is to
get the GDAL provider to return extents information, but I'm not sure if
this is possible or not---I'll post something on the fdo-internals list.

How does that sound?

Tom

Yes I have been watching those threads with interest. Looks like Tom, Greg,
and Frank have fixed the problem and a patch will be posted shortly.
