Setting the maestro dictionary path requires the reboot.  Because MapGuide runs under the local service, which is already logged in, you have to reboot to get the env var to register.

I'm not too worried about the reboot requirement; at least the installer tells you that it's required.

A complete uninstall and then deleting the left over dirs resolved
that problem for me...

what causes the requirement for a reboot out of interest?

is it the environment vars? if we could avoid the reboot it would be golden :)
