[mapguide-internals] Re: The coordinate system initialization failed

Hi Edu,

I did some checking into the postgresql libraries on Ubuntu 9.10. Ubuntu 9.10 uses postgresql 8.3 or 8.4. The FDO Provider was compiled on CentOS 5.4 against postgresql 8.1. It is possible that the version difference in the libraries on Ubuntu 9.10 may be causing the failure. If this is the case, then we may not be able to support postgresql on Ubuntu without native Ubuntu compilation. That would be disappointing.

To the list - has anyone tried using the PostgreSQL or PostGIS providers on CentOS 5.4?

Regards,
Trevor
