Oh boy... Even better...

I built an installer using our new build machine based on FDO 3.5.0 RC1 and current MapGuide trunk. Using the installer, I performed a successful install of MapGuide with IIS/.Net on my local Windows XP machine:

1. The Sheboygan map and .Net sample app work when installed by hand. It would be great if we could include these as installer options since it would give "newbies" something to play with.

2. The Wix regeneration step has picked up the new dlls for .Net which were introduced in MGOS 2.2. And they work!

3. The Web API reference installed under http://localhost/mapguide/help/ contains lots of content.

4. The Developer Guide installed under http://localhost/mapguide/devguide doesn't display anything. We should investigate this further.

I just ran the whole build/install process from scratch using the batch file I checked into Subversion. It was clean and generated the installer. We now have a reproducible build process for 32 bit Windows. One thing missing is the Subversion changelist number. I wonder if we should tag the MapGuide binaries and install exe/msi as 2.2.0.[changelist]? I should be able to write a Perl script to extract the changelist number.

Why do I feel like I just won Lotto??? Woo Hoo! THANK YOU JACKIE!
