Subject: [mapguide-internals] Re: 32 bit installer on build machine

Hi All,

I'll be committing some changes tonight to the installer that includes:

1. The ability to change the virtual directory name during installation
(both Apache and IIS)
2. Product ID is now *variable* so you don't get the "This product is
already installed" message when installing on a box with 2.1 already
installed.
3. Registry root now being SOFTWARE\OSGeo\MapGuide\[VERSION] (ie.
SOFTWARE\OSGeo\MapGuide\2.2.0)
4. Version-specific start menu entry.

These changes can *enable* a side-by-side scenario with an existing 2.1
installation as the bits that can cause conflict with an existing mg server
are now all configurable from the installer. I can get a running 2.2 server
beside a 2.1 server w/ these changes.

But there's some stuff on the web tier side that is preventing a true
side-by-side scenario. Namely getting the web tier to use its own installed
version of PHP.
