Hi Walt,

Maybe. I think I also found a workaround. Just delete all of the .embed.manifest files and rebuild. Not perfect but seems to work for now.

Regards,
Trevor

Could it be due to interference from an antivirus utility?

Subject: [mapguide-internals] MapGuide VC10 - failed to save updated manifest

Hi list,

Has anyone ever seen the following error when trying to build MapGuide with VC10? It seems to occur randomly as part of the build process.

mt.exe : general error c101008a: Failed to save the updated manifest to the file "..\..\..\obj\debug\DotNetUnmanagedApi\Web\WebUnmanagedApid.dll.embed.manifest". The parameter is incorrect. [E:\mgdevtrunk\Web\src\DotNetUnmanagedApi\Web\WebApi.vcxproj]

I am running a Visual Studio 2010 32 bit build on a 32 bit machine with both Visual Studio 2008 and Visual Studio 2010 installed. A quick "Google" seems to indicate that the issue may be related to having multiple versions of Visual Studio on the same machine.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Trevor
