 there are two similiar files in the release called
 layerdefinitionfactory.php

 it is confusing, one is in schemareport which is a good example of the
 usage of the mapguide api in php, and the the other is in mapviewerphp

 these should be based on the same file, refactoring them to support the
 same functionality and using the same xml template files.
