 Currently adding many layers to a map from a different folder is tedious.
 Each time, you have to click all the way through the tree to find the
 resource you are looking for.

 I can think of two ways of addressing this:

 1) remember the last location a layer was added from when adding a new
 layer

 2) allow multi-select of resources to be effective in the layer addition
 tool (ie. allow multiple layers to be added with a single File-Open
 dialogue).
