 The current build system relies on GPC, which has a non-free/non-
 opensource license:

 The current makefile uses this library by default.

  Agg contains an option to build without GPC. I think this should be the
 default option, otherwise our binaries can not be used for commercial use
 (whatever the definition may be).

 If fixing, consider supporting more recent versions of agg.
